The Boston Celtics' depth proved to be too much for the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of their NBA playoff series, as the Celtics cruised to a 122-84 victory. The Celtics' bench outscored the Mavericks' bench 45-22, and the Celtics' starters were also more efficient, shooting 52.4% from the field compared to the Mavericks' 42.9%.
Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving struggled for the Mavericks, combining for just 34 points on 12-of-39 shooting. The Celtics' defense was able to limit Dončić's effectiveness by double-teaming him and forcing him into turnovers.
