Luka Kyrie Duo Struggles In Game 2 Loss

Celtics' Depth Too Much for Mavericks, Ground Mavs' Bigs

Luka-Kyrie Duo Struggles in Game 2 Loss

Box Score | Live Coverage

The Boston Celtics' depth proved to be too much for the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of their NBA playoff series, as the Celtics cruised to a 122-84 victory. The Celtics' bench outscored the Mavericks' bench 45-22, and the Celtics' starters were also more efficient, shooting 52.4% from the field compared to the Mavericks' 42.9%.

Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving struggled for the Mavericks, combining for just 34 points on 12-of-39 shooting. The Celtics' defense was able to limit Dončić's effectiveness by double-teaming him and forcing him into turnovers. Irving was also held in check by the Celtics' defense, as he was unable to create his own shot consistently.

The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Jaylen Brown also had a strong performance, scoring 23 points and dishing out 6 assists. The Celtics' big men were also a factor in the win, as Robert Williams III had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Al Horford had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Mavericks will need to make some adjustments if they want to avoid falling behind 0-3 in the series. They will need to find a way to get more production from their bench and their stars will need to play better. The Celtics, on the other hand, will look to continue their strong play in Game 3.
